guitar to my collection (Consists of: Gibson Les Paul, Fender
Stratocaster, Tony Iommi Custom SG) I've narrowed it down to four
choices:
1. Dave Mustaine VMNT1
2. Slash Appetite for Destruction Epiphone
3. EVH Wolfgang Special
4. Gibson SG Standard
I've played all 4 and they're all good for different things, I'm in a
hard rock band but my Les Paul covers most stuff for that so I guess
this guitar would be used for anything from Guns N' Roses to Aerosmith
to Van Halen to Metallica to Megadeth etc.
What do you guys think? What's your opinion on the above?
Jeff Lamb: Thanks for the fleshed out response! The EVH Wolfgang has a
tremelo system, but I don't really use a tremelo enough to warrant
getting a guitar with that in mind. I'm not a real metalhead, I'm more
into hard rock, but the metal music that I do like (Metallica,
Megadeth, Maiden, Sabbath, Slayer etc.) could be accomplished quite
nicely on a Mustaine. I've wanted a VMNT1 for a long time now, and
I've wanted an SG for a while too. I guess the weakest out of the four
is the Slash LP. Not because I dislike him, I like him alot, he
inspired me to pick up guitar (Along with Jimmy Page) but I've heard
that his AFD guitar is just a jazzed up standard epiphone
