Jonah Hill on '21 Jump Street': 'If It Had Not Been Me, I'd Most likely Be Speaking S**t'

Among the best surprises of 2011: that amusing red-colored-band trailer for '21 Jump Street,' which made the halls of Moviefone HQ echo with guttural laughter. Who understood what appeared like this type of cynical nostalgia grab might be so funny? Well, most likely Jonah Hill since he authored the script. Inside a new interview with Moviefone sister site America online TV, Hill confesses he knows the trepidation some might feel toward the brand new film, because he'd feel exactly the same way. "[I]t never was my intention to remake anything," Hill told America online TV. "Whether it wasn't me, I'd most likely be speaking sh-t about me for remaking 'Jump Street.' However I loved the concept that it's completely different -- it isn't 1980s, it isn't spoof, it is simply the thought of two youthful-searching cops returning to senior high school. I am prepared to do anything whatsoever whether it's good, but I am not searching to re-make more stuff." Hill, who are able to be observed in animated form this Sunday throughout the growing season finale of 'Allen Gregory,' also talked about how Channing Tatum found be his co-star in '21 Jump Street.' "I completely chose Channing and that i known as him up myself and offered him the part." Browse the full interview at America online TV.
